Located at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, The Center for the Arts, Religion, and Education’s mission is to provide theological reflection and practice through educational curriculum in arts and religion and to present related arts programs that enhance the GTU community. CARE programs encourage scholarship in arts and religion through exhibitions at the Doug Adams Gallery, lectures, conferences, and grants. CARE also serves as a resource for local, regional, and national communities, including congregations, schools and colleges, and arts organizations.
